Young Brazilian star Neymar holds court in Rio

Days after signing a five-year contract with Spanish club Barcelona, 21-year-old Brazilian star Neymar has returned to Rio de Janeiro where he has described his move to Barca as a "dream come true."

Neymar makes the move to his new club as the Brazilian national team is about to embark on a crucial 12 month period. Following June’s Confederations Cup is of course, the 2014 World Cup on home soil and expectations for the South American football superpower will be as high as ever. Neymar addressed both his move to Spain and the wild year ahead of him representing his nation in Rio on Tuesday.

"My feeling is like having butterflies in my stomach. I still feel it. I will be fulfilling my dream of playing with several stars like Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Dani Alves, Adriano and others there. I’m anxious to get there, but now I have to focus on the Confederations Cup and to help Brazil win the title," new Barcelona signing Neymar said.

"It’s a huge responsibility but it’s also a child’s dream coming true. There are a lot of people saying that the ’jersey is a heavy burden to wear’ but you have to play like you were playing in your backyard. You have to honour it, dribble in a game, be happy!"
