NBA: Durant scores 33 as Thunder pummel Bucks

01-13-2014 09:20 BJT

The Oklahoma City Thunder hadn’t been looking like themselves lately, after losing back-to-back games against the Utah Jazz and Denver Nuggets so Kevin Durant and company decided to get back to basics when the team with the league’s worst record, the Milwaukee Bucks, paid a visit to OKC.

Larry Drew shuffling Milwaukee’s line-up, in hopes of snapping a four-game losing streak and Brandon Knight makes the most of his opportunity to start. Setting up this crushing dunk from Giannis Antetokoun who would finish with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

But here comes that refocused Oklahoma City defense, Jeremy Lamb with the steal and Thabo Sefo-losha with the finger roll on the other end, He goes on to finish the evening with 14 points.

The Thunder continue to press in the second quarter, Reggie Jackson taking the rock on the wing and finding Kevin Durant in the middle. As they push their lead back into double digits.

Then it’s the Bucks turn to show their "D" . Jackson rejected by Ekpe Udoh and "Big Gian-nis" shows off his handle. Before perhaps wisely passing the ball to Khris Middleton, who finds OJ Mayo outside. Where he drills three of his 16 points.

OKC finally begin to pull away in the third quarter, Durant getting the rock at the top of the key and he’s gonna drive all the way to the rack for the soft finish. Ball dropping in on the bounce. 33 points for him  and Oklahoma City win 101-85.
