08-10-2010 15:18 BJT

Q6: Shanghai Expo is unique in the fact that it's having many culture events, I've heard 100 every day, perfromances from all over China, all the provinces, and indeed all over the world, the multiculture and rich experience, harmony in the diversity. How do you think that the cultural aspects of the Expo will enhance the overall strategy of what you think Expo should be for China and for the world?

A: I believe that the expo will provide an excellent opportunity for cultural exchange. Many performing troupes have requested to sing and dance in Shanghai's communities. Cultural exchange is a crucial form of international communication. Why there is a lack of understanding among nations? I think it's due to cultural differences. People from different cultures may have different viewpoints on an issue, and may even draw contrary conclusions. I believe such performances will play a key role in promoting cultural exchange and mutual understanding.
