Qinzhou City is located on the south coast of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Qinzhou Bay, under the jurisdiction of the city, is a medium-sized bay in the north of the Beibu Gulf. It is one of the most convenient shipping channels to countries in the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN).
Qinzhou is located in the subtropical zone. It is rich in subtropical fruits, seafood and pearls.

Transportation in Qinzhou relies heavily on railways, highways and sea routes. Railways include the Nanning-Qinzhou Railway and Qinzhou-Beihai Railway. Highways such as Qinzhou-Nanning, Qinzhou-Beihai and Qinzhou-Fangchenggang connect Qinzhou with other major cities in Guangxi. In addition, Qinzhou is approximately 100 km away from Nanning Airport and Beihai Airport (Nanning is the Capital of Guangxi, while Beihai is one of Guangxi's most important cities for tourism and commerce). A 100,000-ton-level sea route is under construction.
