BRICS to increase access to affordable medicine

The world´s emerging countries have vowed to deepen their cooperation in increasing access to affordable medicine and helping fight disease in the poorest countries.

Health Ministers from China, Brazil, Russia, India and South Africa held their first BRICS Health Ministers Meeting in Beijing on Monday. Also at the meeting were officials from the World Health Organization and UNAIDS. Ministers pledged to step up collaboration and coordinated actions to deal with global public health challenges.
