First CCTV online gala to delight netizens on CNTV
This year the TV station decides to give online gala a shot, in an attempt to attract those netizens that may not be glued to TVs.

Although the state broadcaster China Central Television (CCTV) has been making innovations in both the content and form of its Spring Festival Gala, the gala remains a high-brow program. However, stimulated by online Spring Festival galas held by local TV stations or Web sites, CCTV has decided to give an online gala a shot and have announced that this year it will hold a highly interactive online gala with most performers being from the grassroots.
