How did the archeologists confirm that the mausoleum complex belongs to Zhang Anshi

I.Judging from the array of ceramic soldiers underneath, archeologists firstly assumed that the tomb owner was a general.
II.Further studies of the exposed relics confirmed that the tomb owner was of the Western Han Dynasty. And a seal found underground engraved with the character Zhang.
III.There was only one general surnamed Zhang in the closest time range of the Western Han Dynasty. The seal features the sign of the reign title.

Close to Zhangs´ mausoleum complex

Location: Southern suburb of Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi
Detail: The complex consists of 14 tombs, a main one and 13 others accompanying it
Main tomb with Zhang Anshi buried inside: It covers an area of nearly 1,500 square meters
No.13 tomb: The tomb features a main room and a much smaller affiliated room
Current situation of the complex: A dozen tombs had been looted by tomb raiders from different eras
Excavation time: The complex was discovered by chance in 2007, and excavation started in 2008

Brief introduction to Zhang Anshi

According to historical records, Zhang Anshi joined the court as a minister in the reign of Emperor Wu of the Western Han Dynasty more than 2,000 years ago. He then continued to assist three emperors in securing their power. Zhang Anshi was known for his honesty and a down-to-earth working attitude. He was considered a role model of his successors, and the Zhangs were conferred the rank of nobility nine generations in a row.
