A former Saudi ambassador to China says bilateral relations will see continuous growth in various sectors with more bilateral communication and cooperation.
Saudi Arabi was one of last Arab nations to establish diplomatic relations with China. But the two nations have made notable progress in building up their ties in the past decade.
Media representatives from China and over 10 Arab states gathered in Egypt's capital Cairo on Monday.
Xi will travel to Egypt on Wednesday, joining his counterpart to attend a celebration at Luxor temple- the Egyptian-Chinese cultural year and the 60th anniv. of diplomatic relations.
During President Xi's upcoming visit to Saudi Arabia, the two countries are expected to sign a series of deals related to co-op in the Belt and Road Initiative, space and aviation technologies.
Ahead of his state visit to Saudi Arabia tomorrow, Chinese President Xi Jinping published an article in the country's media, saying the two nations should expand their bilateral trade volume.
Saudi Arabia is the first leg of President Xi Jinping's visit to the Middle East. The two countries formed diplomatic relations rather late, in the 1990s.
